Grinded Cocoa beans are small, crisp, sun-dried pieces of cocoa beans from the cocoa fruit. The raw cocoa beans
has been maximally heated to 50 degrees and is not added additives of any kind.
Due to its high content of antioxidants and minerals, cacaoibs have become designated to be one of the so-called Super Foods.

Usage

Cocoa Beans are especially suitable for baking, where it can be used as a healthy alternative to dark chocolate in eg. cakes, cookies or brownies. You can also eat them on your shells or yogurt in the morning.

History

Cocoa beans have been known for thousands of years. The South American Mayan and Inca Indians considered it
to be food of the gods, and therefore it was high-taxed. It was such a valuable ingredient that Cocoa Beans was used as a method of payment .
