Description

Hibiscus consists of more than 200 species, which is a mix of small herbs, perennials, bushes or trees.
The leaves are oval and the flowers are large and trumpet-shaped with five petals.

History

Hibiscus came back to Europe in the 1700s. Throughout time, the flower has been used fo medicine
purposes. In Egypt, it was used to reduce fever and help in heart disease while in Africa, Hibiscus got constipation and liver disease.

Nutrition

Hibiscus is rich in iron, copper, and manganese and also contains many antioxidants.
